Stago

MDM Migration and Mobile Governance Optimization

Stago, a global player in the pharmaceutical sector, launched a dual IT transformation: migrating its mobile device fleet from MobileIron to Microsoft Intune, and moving local and OVH-hosted files to SharePoint. The project was driven by a goal to reclaim governance from the France side while improving device and data management internationally.

The business challenge

Rethinking device management: from MobileIron to Intune

The first phase of the Stago project involved a complete reverse engineering of the existing MobileIron configuration, followed by an optimization proposal aligned with Intune standards.

Our solution

Defining a target architecture and piloting it locally

A target architecture was defined, including the enrollment profiles and configurations needed. Pilot tests were run in France and Saudi Arabia, with close oversight to reassure local teams through the transition.

Implementation

A controlled multi-country rollout for a mobile workforce

The mobile migration proceeded gradually, accounting for the specific needs of traveling and remote employees.

In parallel, a second project migrated file storage to SharePoint. After a partial attempt with OVH proved unsatisfactory, SharePoint was chosen instead. A pilot migration trained the teams and documented best practices, despite governance and cross-country communication challenges.

Measurable results

Autonomy, security, and modernization

The project gave Stago's teams renewed control over mobile device management, with better visibility and stronger security, upskilled local teams now able to manage mobile devices autonomously, a successful phased migration despite organizational and technical constraints, adapted to each country's specifics, and strong client satisfaction with the ability to support change and secure the mobile fleet.
