Building a BI Ecosystem for Data-Driven Cyber Governance
About the client

The business challenge
The engagement involved structuring the value chain for cyber data, giving leadership governance indicators and giving operational teams tracking indicators to steer their remediation efforts. The technical challenge was as much about reliably ingesting sensitive data as it was about presenting it clearly to an executive audience.
Our solution
The mission required exploring and cross-referencing complex data sources across several areas: tracking legal and regulatory compliance of applications worldwide, comparative analysis of perimeter security policies and data leak prevention, designing a model to measure employees' cyber maturity and security culture, and tracking compliance and access on the Group's official social media accounts internationally.
Implementation
The approach followed four phases: scoping requirements through workshops to define a KPI matrix, data engineering to design extraction pipelines with a data engineer, semantic modeling in Power BI using composite models optimized for large data volumes, and designing a reporting interface tailored for an executive audience.
Measurable results
The mission broke down data that had historically been siloed across network, endpoints, identities, and the human factor into a single unified reference system.
