The business challenge

Stalled Copilot adoption and growing shadow AI use

TV5 Monde had rolled out around twenty Copilot licenses and built a community of champions. Without a clear view of ROI and with training that was too generic, the initiative had lost momentum. At the same time, employees were using unsupervised LLMs, putting the IT department in the position of restricting usage without a satisfying alternative to offer.

Synapsys proposed an approach centered on real business use cases, with a gradual scale-up to 70 licenses and the creation of internal points of contact able to sustain adoption over time.

Our solution

Differentiated training tracks by profile and use case

Three levels of training tracks were designed to fit the diversity of employee populations:

  • Fundamentals, for employees less familiar with Microsoft 365, covering the basics of the suite before introducing Copilot
  • Department cohorts (HR and Marketing), small-group work to create high-value use cases rooted directly in each department's daily practices
  • Champions track, comprehensive training covering LLM fundamentals, an experimental approach, and the ability to train other employees

A collective check-in is held to measure usage progress, identify persistent obstacles, and share best practices across cohorts.

Implementation

Collaborative use case design and hands-on experimentation training

One day per cohort is dedicated to designing, testing, and documenting concrete use cases: drafting emails and meeting notes, analyzing data, and producing content. Future champions also learn to structure an experimental approach and build reusable internal knowledge bases.

Measurable results

Governed adoption that puts an end to shadow AI

By the end of the program, TV5 Monde has an active user base, operational internal champions, and around ten documented use cases. Employees now have an official, well-understood tool suited to their environment, addressing needs that were previously met by unsupervised LLMs.
